Young Mezcal Montelobos Tobalá 750ml
The wild elegance of Tobalá agave in every sip
This young mezcal is produced in Puebla, at the Palenque del Tentzo (San Nicolás Huajuapan) by master mezcalero Aarón Alva under the supervision of botanist Iván Saldaña. It is made with 100% sustainably cultivated Tobalá ash agave . Cooking takes place in an above-ground conical brick oven using oak and tepeguaje wood; grinding is done with a mechanical mill; fermentation is carried out wild in open pine vats; and distillation is carried out in a copper still over direct wood fire. This artisanal process seeks to highlight the floral, herbaceous, and fruity complexity of Tobalá.
